Have you accidentally left your child at daycare for three extra hours? Have you locked yourself out of your house naked? Have you been spat on by a smelly camel? Any of these incidents could earn the Worst Day Ever label. We have all been there, but not all of us have gotten gift cards to Sullivan’s Steakhouse for telling about them.
Nikki at WZPL (99.5 FM) is on the radio weekday afternoons, helping you through your commute home with her pop culture coverage and other fun antics that include the Worst Day Ever Contest. If you click here, you can write about your mishaps. Whether you want to write about falling down a mountain or blistering from a nasty sunburn is up to you. You’ll be asked to also include your name, a daytime phone number, and your email address.
That’s all you have to do to be in the running to be one of the weekly winners. Nikki will announce a winner each Wednesday at 4:30 p.m., giving away $100 gift cards to Sullivan’s Steakhouse each time. There are precious few things that can take the pain out of a day in which you manage to drive your car underneath another vehicle on the highway, but telling Nikki about it could turn your worst day ever into a fun evening out at Sullivan’s.

My worst day ever was getting pulled over a police officer for speeding. I was told I had a warrant out for my arrest for failing to appear in court in Lake County where I use to live. I had never been arrested before and here I was arrested in front of my children and taken to Speedway Police dept and I had to wait for the Sherrif to get me and when they got me I had to go to Marion Cnty jail. While I was at Marion Cnty jail I find out I have to be transported to Lake Cnty jail and I have to wait till they come and get me. Lake Cnty police did not come and get me from Marion Cnty until 5 whole days later. Finally, when I was transported to Lake Cnty jail I was instantly released but I had to go through the whole ordeal because I had a warrant. I had to call my boyfriend to take me back to Indianapolis and when arrived back to Indy I find I was let go of both of my full time jobs. The whole experience was horrible. The worst part is I have an ex that owes 90 thousand in child support and the police aren’t looking for him. I went to jail over something idiotic and my life was turned upside down. Granted, I shouldn’t have been speeding – lesson learned. Worst day turned into worst week!!!

Wow! That is going to make anything bad that happens to me today seem like nothing, so thank you for that. We strongly recommend you follow the link in that post and write that story at WZPL. It sounds like you could have a trip to Sullivan’s in your future. Hopefully, your days are far more pleasant now than that week.
