How do you best Mother Nature? By banning together to help our neighbors recover from her wrath. We’ll start by sharing these collection efforts
FOP Lodge 86 and Wayne Township Fire Station #885: Both of these locations are specifically asking for pet-related donations. People weren’t the only ones displaced from homes after the tornados, and those of you with pets surely can guess how many dogs and cats are in trouble after the storm. FOP Lodge 86 is located at 1525 Shelby Street and will be accepting donations from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. today and tomorrow. Wayne Township Fire Station #885 (located at 7981 Crawsfordsville Road) will be accepting donations from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. today and tomorrow, as well as from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25. Both locations are asking for dog and cat food, wire kennels, crates, small blankets and towels, collars and leashes, and water dishes.

Gigi’s: Both the Union Chapel Road and 116th St. in Fishers cupcake locations have dropboxes to donate small treats, collars, leashes, bowls, toys, blankets for Oklahoma City pets affected by Monday’s tornado tragedy. All items will be sent to the Bella Foundation SCPA.
Bill Estes Chevrolet: You can drop off personal supplies at your nearest Chevy store, as they are helping with the relief by collecting non-perishable foods, baby supplies, personal toiletries, cleaning supplies, bottled water, school supplies, and new clothes.
Kroger: The grocery store is sending money donations to Oklahoma, and you can chip in with them. When you’re paying for groceries at the register, just mention that you wish to make a donation and give the amount. Kroger is planning to match all cash donations up to $25,000 of what guests in the community give.
Radio Shack: Similar to Kroger, Radio Shack is enabling donations directly to the American Red Cross at the point of sale at all of their stores nationwide. When checking out, customers will have the option of donating $1, $5, or $10 to directly benefit the tornado victims, and Radio Shack matches your contribution.
Jasper Construction is collecting items at its booth during the “Listen Local” concert at Broad Ripple Park on Friday, May 24 from 6 to 9 pm. Items needed include trash bags, blankets, toiletries, and ladies undergarments. You can also schedule a pick up by calling Jasper at (317) 510-0805 before Tuesday, May 28 at 3 pm.
