Dedicated Cheapsters saw our post last week about the 12 Houses of Christmas in Noblesville. However, in this busy time of the year, it’s likely only northsiders make it to the north side of town. So we wanted to let you know of another opportunity to see some beautiful Christmas lights. Out on the west side, Winterland is the holiday light show of Danville.
You can drive over to see this beautiful display at Ellis Park (located at 600 E. Main Street). Winterland is sponsored by both the Greater Danville Chamber of Commerce as well as the Danville Parks and Recreation Department. Admission is regularly $8, but we know of two ways to save on this price. First of all, you can follow the link to the Danville Chamber and print off the coupon that will let you take $3 off your gate admission. Also, each Wednesday features a canned food drive. If you donate a bag of canned goods when you arrive on Wednesday, you can enter for just $3.
Finally, here are some last details. First, Winterland is open from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. It’s open an extra hour on Friday and Saturday, until 10:00 p.m. Winterland will remain open until Monday December 24. And if you attend Friday through Sunday, Santa Claus will be available for pictures. For another opportunity to see some beautiful Christmas light displays, consider Winterland your go-to destination on the west side.
