One of the biggest events to hit our city in July will be the Indianapolis International Film Festival. From July 18-28, the Indianapolis International Film Festival will feature the best in independent and innovative film from both prestigious professionals and upcoming filmmakers. The films (and those who make them) come from many different backgrounds and from across the country, but all of them will be brought together for the Indianapolis International Film Festival.
With that in mind, how would you like to experience the International Film Festival up close and personal, even getting to see a FREE screening of one of the films? If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, consider carefully that the Indianapolis International Film Festival is in need of volunteers. Right now, the International Film Festival is looking for help in the following departments:
- Box Office (Ticket sales and customer service)
- Projection (fairly self-explanatory)
- Special Events (Set up, tear down, etc.)
- Lobby Operations (Surveys and ticketing)
- Theater Captains (Managers who oversee shifts)
If you think you’d like to volunteer, remember that you’d receive a FREE t-shirt and a ticket to attend a screening at the festival. The reason we’re bringing this up a month in advance, however, is that all volunteers have to attend one of the two training sessions this week. You can choose between Thursday, June 27 and Saturday, June 29.
To get started, visit Shiftboard and create an account with them if you haven’t already. Then, sign up for teams that pique your interest. Finally, sign up for one of those two training days. After that, you’re on your way to the Indianapolis International Film Festival.
