Valentine’s Day freebies and coupons

With one more day to go before Valentine’s Day, we know some of our Cheapsters may be shaking their heads and wondering why we’re releasing so many posts about this February holiday. • In 2010, the average American consumed 24.7 pounds of candy.
• The total value of fresh-cut roses in 2011 was $365,453,189.
• There were 23,739 jewelry stores operating in the United States in 2010.
• As of 2007, there were 393 dating service establishments nationwide (including Internet dating services). They pulled in $928 million in revenue.

Going by the numbers, Valentine’s Day tends to be a serious holiday. It may be true that love makes the world go around, as it obviously seems to make the economy hum for a brief period. It’s for that reason that we want to continue bringing Valentine’s Day specials to your attention, though time is quickly running out for 2013.
