You have probably read a few of our posts in the past about kids workshops at your local home improvement centers. Both Home Depot and Lowe’s offer these kids workshops for FREE once or twice a month, and the March events are coming up very soon. Both stores provide instruction and tools as your children build projects that they can take home with them. It’s a great opportunity for your child to learn how to properly use tools and follow instructions, and he or she will wind up with a new toy for their troubles. Here are the upcoming FREE kids workshops:
Home Depot: The FREE hands-on kids workshop is always the first Saturday of the month at Home Depot between 9:00 a.m. and noon. They are geared towards kids aged 5 to 12, and the kids will receive a FREE apron, commemorative pin, and certificate of achievement to accompany their craft. This month’s workshop involves building a race car. Follow our link to register for the event on Saturday, March 2.
Lowe’s: Lowe’s is holding their FREE kids workshop at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9. This one is a week later, but the Lowe’s events tend to fill up more quickly and you will want to register your child soon before all slots are full. This month’s project is the Monster Jam kit. Specifically, your child can construct Monster Mutt.
