If you’re a fan of Mexican food, odds are you enjoy a tasty taco. The word “taco” is actually the Mexican equivalent of the English word for “sandwich’,” which seems fitting. Whether you take your tortilla crunchy or soft, it wraps around the filling and makes a delicious Mexican sandwich. These meals are pretty popular, too, considering Americans ate approximately 4.5 billion tacos last year alone. For that reason, we know many of you will be happy to hear that National Taco Day is practically here.
National Taco Day is Friday, October 4, and we know of two restaurants here in the Indianapolis area celebrating this special food holiday. Of course, we will update this post if we find out about more before National Taco Day actually arrives, but here are the two promotions we are aware of at this time:
Don Pablo’s – Everyone shares in the kindness at Don Pablo’s on National Taco Day. Come in Friday, October 4 and order any of the Primo Taco Trio Entrees, and Don Pablo’s will donate $1 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. You will also receive a FREE ice cream taco with your order.
Tijuana Flats – National Taco Day is fairly straightforward at Tijuana Flats. In honor of the holiday, you can enjoy $2 tacos all day on Friday, October 4 for National Taco Day.
