For Cheapsters who live on the north side, you may have already heard about the fall events going on in your backyard. For Cheapsters on other sides of town, you may want to spend an afternoon this weekend driving up to Hamilton County. The weather forecast looks beautiful, and you’ll be in for a fun time at either of two great fall events going on this weekend. On Saturday September 28 and Sunday September 29, you can enjoy the Carmel International Arts Festival and the Atlanta New Earth Festival. Here are more details on each:
Carmel International Arts Festival – Over 135 juried artisans will be set up to showcase their work. You’ll find watercolors, jewelry, wood, sculpture, and pottery. The kids will find plenty of entertainment as well, enjoying face painting, caricatures, and more. Don’t worry about paying for parking or admission to the Arts Festival, as both are FREE. The hours on Saturday are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Atlanta New Earth Festival – This is the 40th annual event in Noblesville. The setup is similar to the Carmel Festival, except it’s even bigger. Over 600 vendors will be on hand to display arts, crafts, antiques, and food. The hours Saturday are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Sunday it’s 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is FREE for this event, too, and it’s hard to say one event will be better than the other. You may as well visit both this weekend in Hamilton County.
