It isn’t often that more than 150 artisans come together to display and sell their wares. Once a year, that opportunity arrives for our Cheapsters, and the time is this weekend. The third annual Indiana Artisan Marketplace takes place at the Indiana State Fairgrounds from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7.
The Artisan Marketplace will set up in Expo Hall, and the price is the same this year as it was last year – $10 for adults. If you wish to bring kids, any aged 15 or younger will be admitted for FREE. An Indiana Artisan is a Hoosier particularly recognized for knowledge and attention to detail with a craft. Additionally, they possess an entrepreneurial spirit that drives them. If you attend to shop, you will be impressed by the high-quality work on display.
The Artisan Marketplace will include paintings, woodwork, wine, jewelry, weaving, specialty cheeses, glass, pottery, fudge, popcorn, and so much more. Some of the food vendors will likely offer FREE samples, and you will also receive a printed program with all the art and food details. For a sneak preview, you can see the list of the 100+ Hoosiers participating in the Artisans Marketplace by clicking here. For a shopping experience that is unique and only comes around once a year, make sure to stop by Expo Hall at the State Fairgrounds.
