Tax Day freebie roundup

As this post goes live, you have three more days to prepare your tax returns. Tax Day for 2013 is on Monday April 15. Whether you owe money back to the government or if you’re eagerly anticipating a refund, Tax Day can be a stressful event for many. Local businesses recognize that fact and want to help cheer you up. You’re already heard of a couple of those that we posted early (i.e. Arbys and Boston Market), but we have a few more to bring to your attention. Whatever you have planned for Monday next week, make sure you build time in your schedule to take advantage of these Tax Day freebies:

Cinnabon – From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, all guests will be treated with two FREE Cinnabon Bites in honor of the Tax Day Bites promotion. Cinnabon Bites taste exactly like the Cinnabon Classic Roll that you smell every time you’re in the same vicinity as one of their locations, but in a bite-sized version.

Great American Cookie – These cookie masters just unveiled the new Birthday Cake Cookie this month. It’s covered in colorful sprinkles and tastes just like birthday cake. You can stop by the Castleton Square Mall location on Tax Day to try the Birthday Cake Cookie for FREE. And no, it doesn’t have to actually be your birthday.

Sonic – Okay, technically this one isn’t a freebie. But a 50% discount is still pretty cool, and Sonic is offering that on drink prices for Tax Day. You can come enjoy a tasty meal with the knowledge that your ice cold Coke is half-price.

AMC Theaters – Starting today, April 12 through April 15, AMC Theaters is giving away a small popcorn to enjoy with your movie. You’ll need to take this coupon to the concession stand. (Admit it: you can smell that butter now.)

Schlotzky’s – Whoohoo. You buy the chips and drink, Schlotzsky’s throws in its Original small sandwich FREE. No coupon required. Of course, your location has to be participating.

Tijuana Flats: $2 tacos and $2 Coronas to drink away your sorrow with this April 15th coupon. As this 96th St. restaurant says, Uncle Sam can take a cut, but he can’t take your tacos.
