This week is a particularly great time to take a one-night hiatus from the chain restaurants and trek to this local favorite because of the special of the week.
Just for this week, you can get a taco, a tamale, and a sope for just $6. You could think of it as a sampler platter of Tamaleria Lupitas on the cheap. If nothing else, it gives you the opportunity to try a sope (a lesser known Mexican dish) with more food on the side without having to pay a great deal of money.
