Ahoy, ye scurvy citizens of Indianapolis. Them that are in the know are aware that tomorrow, September 19, is International Talk Like a Pirate Day around the world. In our own swashbuckling city, the Indianapolis Children’s Museum will be observing this grand holiday on Saturday, September 22. If you surrender the booty necessary to pay the price of admission that day, you and your crew will be treated to special FREE activities in the museum. Ye will learn to speak the arrr-tful language o’ the pirates. Ye landlubbers will also hear tales and legends of the most famous pirates of history. So, parents, bring your lads and lasses for a yo-ho good time this Saturday at the Children’s Museum from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If it’s food ye want, drop in at a Long John Silver’s location, where they’ll throw you a FREE piece of classic whitefish with a purchase if you talk like a pirate to them. Too shy? Dress like one and the counter person will still honor the deal. Offer is good only on September 19.
