Even if you didn’t see our post toward the end of last week about Ritter’s Frozen Custard donating some of its revenues to the families of those affected by the Franklin drowning tragedy, you’ve probably heard the sad story of what happened.
As of now, two young lives have been lost after friends went in after a girl was swept over the edge of a dam in the Big Blue River in Franklin. Another of the kids is still in the hospital as of our writing of this post, and all the families involved are obviously devastated. The community is trying to remain Franklin Strong, but the families could use help from all of us.
Following up the Ritter’s fundraiser, the Texas Roadhouse restaurant located at 270 S. Marlin Drive in Greenwood is holding a fundraiser night tonight for Franklin Strong. From 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, you can raise money for the families reeling from this tragedy simply by enjoying a steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse. All you need to do is print off the invitation we’ve posted as the picture off to the left. If you present that while you are eating during those hours, Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of your total food purchases to the Franklin Strong fundraiser.
