The Indiana State Fair kicks off on Friday, August 3 and will continue until Sunday, August 19. With everything planned for these 16 days, everyone can probably find something that will interest them. If one of your big interests is enjoying the Indiana State Fair on the cheap, read on through our following rundown of the special days and deals available:
- If you’re planning to attend multiple days, you can take advantage of the first-ever multi-day admission pass. Check out local Walmart and CVS stores, Indiana Farm Bureau offices, the Marten House Hotel, and the Indiana State Fairgrounds Ticket Office to purchase one ticket for three days’ entries. The cost is $18, which will save you $12 over paying three separate days.
- While at Walmart before August 19, you can buy a voucher for a midway wristband for only $18. Wristband holders also receive a FREE Pepsi during their visit.
- Buy a pair of Falls Creek Jeans from Meijer between July 22 and August 6 to receive $1 off admission on August 6. Just bring your Catalina coupon print you receive at Meijer to the Indiana State Fair entrance to receive savings.
- Check the Indianapolis Star on Monday August 6 for a FREE ticket to the Fair on August 8 and 9.
- Visit the Turkey Hill Dairy website (just follow the link) and print off a voucher that will grant you admission for just $2 on Tuesday August 7 and Tueday August 14. Also on those Tuedays, concessionaires will have $2 servings to try all day long.
- If you are a State Employee, bring along your employee identification for FREE admission on Thursday August 9.
- If you have served in the Armed Forces, bring your military ID for you and your family to receive FREE admission on Thursday August 16.
- If you are at least 18 years of age, redeem your admission ticket stub between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 11 at the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand for a FREE lottery ticket.
- On Monday August 13, admission is only $15 per vehicle for up to ten people if you print off the voucher from www.IPLpower.com, so pile everyone in that day for carpooling.
- Any senior aged 55 or over can purchase a special wristband either at the Indiana State Fair Information Booth (located on State Fair Blvd.) or at the Prairie Farms Information Booth (located in Pioneer Village) for $3 per day to ride the tractor shuttles around the Fairgrounds. On August 14, these seniors ride for FREE.
- Redeem a voucher from www.in.gov/bmv on August 15 to save $5 off of the normal $10 admission price.
- If you are a Hoosier AAA member, show your valid membership card at the entrance for FREE admission on August 16.
- Bring a Pepsi brand can on the last day of the Fair, August 19, to receive $2 off the admission price.
