Learning a new craft can seem daunting if you have to learn it by yourself. Taking one of Conner Prairie’s hands-on classes takes the stress out and lets you focus on the fun of learning by enabling you to work alongside and learn from some of our nation’s best craftsmen. This is the sort of opportunity that awaits you if you sign up for the 23rd Annual Arts and Arms Making Workshop being held at Conner Prairie October 6 to 12. You have three options for scheduling, including two-and-a-half day sessions, five day sessions, or weekend sessions.
Sessions usually last from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless noted otherwise. Some will require you to bring your own tools, and prices will vary depending on the session. Sessions include Traditional Barrel Making, Leather Work, Knifesmithing, Hornworking, Tinsmithing, and more. Classes fill up quickly, however, so call 317-776-6006 to request a registration form.
Regardless of which sessions you wish to take, however, you will qualify for discounts if you become a member. Membership has numerous other benefits, too, including FREE unlimited daytime general admission and parking, discounts in the Conner Prairie stores, and much more.
