The NBA season has officially come to a close, which means the time is drawing near for the Pacers Summer Hoops Tour. A weeklong series of basketball clinics, the Summer Hoops Tour provides opportunities for kids aged eight to fourteen to participate and learn basketball concepts in a fun environment. A legend from the ABA days of the Pacers, Darnell “Dr. Dunk” Hillman oversees the clinics with help from local instructors. If your children participate, they will be given a mix of practice drills to teach them basketball fundamentals along with plenty of fun games along to way to keep them excited.
The series of one-day clinics take place from July 14 through July 18 at locations across Central Indiana. Each camp will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and here is the schedule of dates and locations:
Monday July 14: New Palestine High School (4485 S. Victory Drive, 46163)
Tuesday July 15: Kokomo High School (2501 S. Berkley Road, 46902)
Wednesday July 16: Indianapolis Metropolitan HS (1635 W. Michigan Street, 46222)
Thursday July 17: Brown County Community YMCA (105 Willow Street, Nashville, 47448)
Friday July 18: Hendricks Regional Health YMCA (301 Satori Parkway, Avon, 46123)
All participants will receive lunch, a t-shirt, and an opportunity to visit with Pacers and Fever players.
