We know you’ve heard about the movie Lincoln, directed by Steven Spielberg and featuring Daniel Day-Lewis as our nation’s 16th president. Lincoln covers the president’s turbulent final months in office as he seeks to end the Civil War and bring the country back together while abolishing slavery. The film has been successful enough to merit a nomination for Best Picture at this year’s Academy Awards (along with 11 other Academy Award nominations), and has a good shot at winning.
Heck, odds are decent you’ve seen it already. What you haven’t done, however, is give the drama the poetic justice of watching it on the weekend of President’s Day. You also probably haven’t seen it for just $5. However, AMC Theaters has an eye for that poetic justice, allowing you access to this film for the simple payment of the bill Abe himself appears on. Follow our link to AMC Theaters (just click the words in blue) and you can download a coupon to see Lincoln for just $5 on either Sunday, February 17 or Monday, February 18.
Take your printed coupon with you to the box office on one of the two valid days and you’ll be able to buy your $5 ticket there (you can’t get the discount by ordering online – sorry). Just make you’re there early enough that the movie isn’t sold out, as the coupon does not guarantee you a seat in and of itself. There might be no better way to way to celebrate President’s Day this year than watching Lincoln, arguably the best of the American presidents to date. And this way, you can do so on the cheap.
This post is in direct relation to the month long specials through AMC Theaters leading up to the Academy Awards. You can see the discounts for the other movies along the way by clicking here.
