We’re all used to seeing Gary Brackett wearing blue and white pads for the Indianapolis Colts. Even though he is retired, we still think of him in his jersey, and certainly as a Hoosier. To see a different side of him, however, come watch him deliver the keynote address at the “Living in the footsteps of a King” program at the Indiana Statehouse. The event is FREE to the public, and starts at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 17.
The Indiana Civil Rights Commission and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission will be present at this event that is all about the influence of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on our country today. It’s a different sort of arena for Gary Brackett, and a unique opportunity to see him in a different light. Plus, you can enjoy a FREE performance from the Broad Ripple Magnet School Golden Singers Choir. Space will be limited at this event, so if you want to see Gary Brackett and hear his message, we encourage you to arrive at the Statehouse early.
