Scavenger hunts are among some of the most fun competitive events available. The adrenaline most people get from deciphering clues and outsmarting the competition is great fun, and the possibility of winning prizes makes it even better. MHS Scavenge the Ave has all of that, plus the added benefit that all money raised will support adult literacy.
The organization called Indy Reads (we’ve written a post or two about them in the past), who is dedicated to “opening doors through adult literacy” is organizing Scavenge the Ave. The idea is relatively straight-forward. Scavenge the Ave is a six-block scavenger hunt down Mass Ave designed to promote awareness of adult literacy here in Indianapolis. The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 at the Athenaeum Downtown (401 E. Michigan Street).
The cost to participate is $12 per person, and that entry fee goes to support Indy Reads and enhancing adult literacy in our city. You can compete in the scavenger hunt by yourself or sign up a team of two, three, four, or five people. Regardless of which size team you choose, you can register ahead of time for Scavenge the Ave by clicking here.
At the Athenaeum, your team will receive directions, the rules of the game, and your first clue. If your team is superior, you can win some great prizes. That’s why we’re letting you know about Scavenge the Ave three weeks in advance – so you can build the best team possible. Registration closes on Tuesday, June 11, so you have until then to sign up. Good luck.
