Many of our Cheapsters are no stranger to events like Savor the Southside. Obviously, the events aren’t restricted to just the one side of town, so if you don’t live on the south side, don’t be discouraged about missing an opportunity. To drop a bit of a hint, check back next week for details on a similar event that might take place closer to where you live (it rhymes with De-scour Round-town, we think).
Anyway, we’ll give you a quick summary in case this idea is new to you. During an event like Savor the Southside, numerous restaurants in the area design special three-course menus to show off some of their best meals. Customers can visit during the specified hours and order from the special menu. Most of the menus are built for two or three people to enjoy together at prices that are lower than they would normally pay. It’s a great time to try out new restaurants you haven’t visited before, or enjoy old favorites on the cheap.
Savor the Southside is in progress now through Sunday, August 18, leaving you more than a week to enjoy dining out on the cheap. With that said, here are the participants:
