If one of your first reactions to our post yesterday about Oktoberfest was, “ooh, German food!” this post is definitely for you. One of the hidden cultural gems in our city (at least as far as cuisine goes) is Claus’ German Sausage & Meats. The sausage there is homemade, and holds all the ingredients for a great German feast. So it is hardly surprising that the German American Klub in Greenwood partners with Claus Muth and uses his sausages in the Edelweiss restaurant.
You are cordially invited to join in the upcoming October cultural event the German American Klub is holding, which is a sausage presentation. The event focuses on sausage preparation, and Claus himself will be offering the expert demonstration. The presentation is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, and you can register by calling the German American Klub at 317-888-6940 to make your reservation.
The cost of the event is $10 per person, which will buy you samples of the delicious sausage being prepared. In addition, you’ll receive side dish and soft drink. You can order Bier or wine if you prefer, though those are a separate purchase. Whether your heritage is German or you just want to broaden your cultural horizons, this is a great way to try German cuisine on the cheap.
