Last chance at NBA title
Tomorrow the Indiana Pacers will host the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in an 8:30 p.m. start. But basketball-loving Hoosiers can start the party far sooner outside the Fieldhouse doors with a “Saturday Night Swagger” party on Pennsylvania St.
Indianapolis Downtown, Inc. has planned activities for all ages for this pregame party, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. A Budweiser beer garden will serve in the Ober Lot next to the Fieldhouse. Alumni Pacers players will be on hand in addition to the Pacemates, Boomer, and the Boom Babies.
A children’s area will be stationed on Pennsylvania St., complete with games, Pop a Shot, corn hole competition, face painting and balloon artists. A DJ will be on hand to provide music and 1070/107.5 The Fan will broadcast a special Pacers pre-game show from 7 to 8 p.m. A “Beat the Heat” banner will be there for fans to sign for good luck. All is weather permitting, so check the forecast. If events are canceled, we will update you at Indianapolis on the Cheap as well.
The Pub, located across the street from Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Georgia St., will be open with a special outdoor entertainment center, complete with food and beverages.
The Pacers playoffs are presented by Key Bank, Kroger & Simon Malls.
