We love seeing all the pink this month in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month. From football games to our local restaurants, it isn’t hard to find signs of Breast Cancer Awareness month. As cool as the pink colors are, however, Sam’s Club prefers a different method. Rather than simply raising money to fund cure research, they want to help consumers catch this disease if it rears its ugly head.
For that reason, Sam’s Club is offering FREE health screenings to women from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12 at all Sam’s Club locations that have a pharmacy. While we realize our male Cheapsters won’t have the screenings this weekend, we’re sure all of you have a female or two in your life that matter a great deal to you and that you can tell about this freebie.
You don’t have to be a member of Sam’s Club to take advantage of the health screening, and breast cancer won’t be the only thing the screenings are looking out for. While Sam’s Club will be giving away more than 25,000 breast self-exam kits, they will also be offering tests of the following things tomorrow:
- Thyroid-stimulating hormone testing
- Blood pressure
- Total cholesterol
- HDL (good cholesterol)
- Glucose
- Body mass index
