If you are reading these deals in the morning when you’ve just woke up and are feeling a sense of deja vu, allow us to put your mind at rest. Yes, we have two posts today about two separate events going on at the Irving Theater on Saturday December 15. This particular post is about the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
This film was released in 1975, and it has taken on a cult following that is both campy and fun. If you have never attended a showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show in the theater, you are in for a very interesting experience. And for just $6, you can purchase a ticket to join in the fun. The doors open at 11:00 p.m., with the movie beginning at midnight. Without spoiling the movie’s plot, here’s a basic synopsis. A couple experiences car trouble and winds up stumbling into a dark and mysterious castle. They find a strange collection of Transylvanian weirdos within, and chaos ensues.
If you are a fan of the film, you of course already know all this. And if you’re new to the Rocky Horror Picture Show, much of what we’re about to list won’t make much sense. We encourage you to just go with it and enjoy yourselves. Here are the ground rules:
- You cannot bring your own props. Prop kits will be available at the show for just $4
- Prop kits will include rice, a newspaper, a noise maker, toiler paper, and toast.
- You are encouraged to come in costume
- A virgin sacrifice will be performed before the show
