When most people think of a traditional Thanksgiving meal, they think of a large extended family gathered along a huge table loaded down with stuffing, cranberry sauce, corn, mashed potatoes, and of course a giant turkey.
However, plenty of people find themselves in different circumstances come Thanksgiving Day.. Regardless of your reason, we want you to know of all your options should you decide to eat your Thanksgiving meal at a restaurant on Thursday, November 22.
For now, all restaurants we are listing are for downtown Indianapolis locations. However, we will be keeping our ears open for other openings across the city, and will post updates to this list as they become available.
In the meantime, some of these eateries require reservations ahead of time while others will allow walk-ins. We encourage you to call ahead as early as you can to check their specific policies for the day, as many will fill up quickly:
Pizzeria Uno (791-8667): Will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
120 West at the Hilton (972-0600): Will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will offer a special Thanksgiving brunch buffet
Buca di Beppo (632-2822): Will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will serve their regular menu plus traditional Thanksgiving selections
Capital Grille at the Conrad (423-8790): Will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and will serve their regular breakfast menu followed by a special Thanksgiving holiday menu
Champp’s (951-0033): Will be open from Noon to 7:00 p.m. and will serve a regular menu plus a special turkey plate
Claddagh Irish Pub (822-6274): Will be open from 11:00 a.m. on and will serve its regular menu as well as some special Thanksgiving menu selections
Circle Cafe at the Sheraton (635-2000): Will be open from 6:30 a.m. to Noon with a Thanksgiving menu selection
High Velocity at the J.W. Marriott (860-6500): Will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., though menu is still to be determined
India Gardens (634-6060): Will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and will serve their regular menu
McCormick and Schmick’s at the Hilton (631-9500): Will be open from Noon to 8:00 p.m. and will serve their regular menu and a traditional Thanksgiving meal
Nineteen Thirteen Restaurant at the Omni Severin Hotel (634-6664): Will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will serve a brunch
One South at the Hyattt Regency (632-1234): Will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will serve a special buffet menu
Osteria Pronto at the J.W. Marriott (860-5777): Will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will serve a Thanksgiving brunch
Palomino (974-0400): Will be open from Noon to 7:00 p.m. and will offer both their regular menu and traditional Thanksgiving food
Pullman’s at the Crowne Plaza (236-7470): Will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will serve a Thanksgiving buffet
Shula’s Steak House at the Westin (231-3900): Will be open for breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., serving their regular menu plus special Thanksgiving offerings
Signature at the Propylaeum (638-7881): Seating from 12:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. will be by reservation only, and they will serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal plus other selections throughout the day
Steak ‘n Shake (634-8703): Will be open 24 hours and will serve from the regular menu, but drinks are half price
Turner’s Restaurant at the Canterbury Hotel (634-3000): Will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. while serving a Thanksgiving buffet; they will also be open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a regular menu
Weber Grill (636-7600): Will be open from Noon to 8:00 p.m., serving their regular menu plus a special Thanksgiving menu
Piper’s (888-7667): Will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., serving favorites like roasted tom turkey, spiral-sliced honey ham, roasted strip loin, and three different kinds of famous stuffing
