Some pairs just complete each other perfectly. Yin and Yang, Sony and Cher, Aaron Rodgers and the Discount Double Check—you get the idea. One such perfect pairing is pizza and beer. We aren’t saying you won’t enjoy your pizza with a Coke or a glass of milk, but the flavors of pizza and beer seem to mesh well together for those Cheapsters that are at least 21 years old. That’s why the Beer Dinners at Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza are so popular.
Jockamo is now taking reservations for its second-to-last Beer Dinner of 2013. They are partnering with local Triton Brewing Company at the Greenwood Jockamo location at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23. If you’ve never signed up for one of these events, $30 gets you in for a five course meal. That may not seem like a meal on the cheap, but each course is accompanied by a different local brew. Plus, these courses consist of items that haven’t even reached the menu yet. Considering the exclusivity and the sheer amount your money buys you, $30 is still a bargain for Beer Night at Jockamo. Here is the menu for the night:
Starter: Jalapeno Crusted Fried Pickles (paired with Magnificent Amber)
Entrees: Pesto BLT with Bacon from Smoking Goose (paired with 4 Barrel Brown)
Railworker’s Spicy Meatball Pizza (paired with Railsplitter IPA)
Joe Swan’s Masala Pizza (paired with Sin Bin Belgian Style Pale)
Dessert: Deadeye Lemon Basil Cheesecake (paired with Deadeye Stout)
With an event this popular, seats disappear quickly. We’re letting you know over a week in advance so that you can reserve your spot before the event is sold out. To RSVP, email Josh at jsmith79hc@yahoo.com. Obviously, you have to be of legal age to RSVP, and you’ll need to bring a valid ID with you to the meal.
