When we first discussed this event in a post close to a month ago, we could understand some skepticism. We were seeing record-breaking heat, and the idea of spending time outdoors wasn’t all that appealing unless you were in a pool. Now, with a week to go before the big weekend, we want to give you one more reminder. We’re referring, of course, to the Ford Hoosier Outdoor Experience taking place September 21 and 22.
The Hoosier Outdoor Experience is presented by the Department of Natural Resources and the Indiana Natural Resources Foundation. It is Indiana’s largest hands-on outdoor recreation event, held on the grounds of Fort Harrison State Park. Should you attend, you will find more than 50 activities and 120 grassroots partners. You can take part in fishing, riding in off-road vehicles, canoeing, and far more. As if you needed an extra reason to register for the Hoosier Outdoor Experience, it’s completely FREE to participate.
You can still click here to register either to attend or to volunteer. The Hoosier Outdoor Experience is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. both Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 and is open to both adults and children.
Thanks to Deal Scout Tammy H. for this lead.
