Gardening sometimes can seem like one of those things you either “get” or don’t. If you think you fall into the latter camp, Indy Creative Aging is collaborating with Perennials Plus and Carmel Parks to help you find your inner green thumb. Whether you have ever tried to maintain a garden before, and whether you live in a house or an apartment, container gardening is something that anyone can do.
Don’t believe us? Just give it a try by registering for the upcoming Container Gardening Workshop with Indy Creative Aging next week. For just $5 per person, you can attend the workshop from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 at the East Shelter in Carmel Central Park. Perennials Plus will be providing nursery professionals that can start you on creating a beautiful container garden which can transition from season to season.
You’ll also have a chance to meet with two special guests in attendance. One is Dick Crum, who is known affectionately as “Dr. Dirt.” The other is Barbara Boyd, who is the Creative Ambassador of Indy Creative Aging. Whether you want to grow flowers, salad fixings, or just anything that will stay alive (we understand the feeling), this container gardening workshop will give you the start you need to find your own green thumb.
