Halloween has a spooky number of deals and discounts, from a variety of different businesses. Another business that is getting involved in the Halloween offers is Redbox. For any Cheapster who hasn’t used Redbox before (most of us have probably lost count of the number of times we’ve rented from them), Redbox has convenient dispensers stationed at many pharmacies and grocery stores. You simply pick the movie or game you want to rent, swipe your credit card, and take the DVD home for a night for much less than you would pay at a movie theater or even at a brick-and-mortar video rental store like Blockbuster.
For Halloween, however, Redbox is offering even greater savings. Click here to see an approved list of Halloween-related movies. The first half of the list is kid-friendly, including movies like Scooby-Doo Stage Fright, Monster House, and Dark Shadows. The second half involves horror movies best restricted to adults. These include The Black Dahlia, Curse of Chucky, World War Z, and more.
Between now and Halloween, you can save money by reserving any movie or game on this list ahead of time. If you do so, you can rent a second movie from the list for 50 cents cheaper when you pick them up at Redbox (almost a 50% discount). Again, this offer is only valid through Thursday, October 31, so make sure you get your scares in ahead of time to enjoy them on the cheap.
