This post marks the first of its kind at Indianapolis on the Cheap. Before today we have never reported on a receipt swap between two businesses. It’s a cool idea, and we wonder if perhaps we will see more receipt swaps in the future. Because it is so original for our site, we’ll explain exactly how it works.
In this case, the two businesses collaborating on the receipt swap are Bath Junkie and Holy Cow, Cupcakes. On the surface, the only thing these two stores seem to share is a Carmel location. Bath Junkie is located at 741 Hanover Place in the Carmel City Center. They specialize in scrubs, soaks, lotions, and washes.
Meanwhile, Holy Cow, Cupcakes is located at 61 City Center Drive. If you couldn’t guess from the business name, Holy Cow sells cupcakes (go figure). These cupcakes start from scratch, using only the freshest local and organic ingredients available. They also bake in small batches so that every bit of product has ample attention and care. They feature a standard set of everyday flavors along with special kinds you can only buy on certain days.
So, where does the receipt swap come in? Well, if you’re shopping at one, you can benefit at the other (and vice versa). If you bring in a Holy Cow, Cupcakes receipt to Bath Junkie, you can receive a special deal on their cupcake bath bombs. On the other hand, if you bring a receipt from Bath Junkie to Holy Cow, Cupcakes, you’ll receive 10% off your purchases. Regardless of which business you visit first, the receipt swap ensures you’ll benefit from savings.
