NOTE: Edelweiss sent out press releases with the wrong time. We have corrected it to 6 pm, per the latest correspondence this morning. Thanks!
While summer doesn’t technically start until the solstice in approximately a month, it has unofficially begun here in Indy. The temperatures are eclipsing 80 degrees on a semi-regular basis, the kids are either done with school or close to it, and summer grilling season is now in session. While we know many of you are already masters of the grill, even you may learn something new (and on the cheap) at Edelweiss next week.
Edelweiss, the restaurant on the premises of the German American Klub on the southside, is hosting a Bar-B-Que and Grilling class at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3. The class is taught by the award-winning Scotty Christy, and he will feature several of his specially-prepared sauces as he provides tips on grilling that can make your next outdoor party an even bigger blast.
The cost for this event is $10 per person, but that buys you more than just the grilling tips. You’ll also receive a sandwich, two sides, and a soft drink. That’s a tough price to beat at any normal restaurant for dinner, and that’s without all the knowledge you’ll take home about grilling and bar-b-que. There are a limited number of seats at Edelweiss for next week’s event, so make sure to contact the German American Klub well ahead of time and let them know how many to expect.
