Why would you miss the new Y?
It’s time to welcome the newest YMCA facility to our city. You’re invited to Community Day to open the Avondale Meadows YMCA this Saturday, August 24 from 11 am to 2 pm.
Tour the new state-of-the-art facility, win prizes and enjoy a light lunch. It’s all part of the large-scale building project to revitalize the east side. This building will not only have the recreation equipment we’ve come to expect from the Y, but also a fully licensed early childhood learning center and a HealthNet neighborhood clinic. It’s the first of three YMCAs to open as part of the Strengthening the Heart of the City Capital Campaign (funds are also being raised to build in Pike township and at the downtown CityWay development).
