Well, with a little over a week before the holiday, we’re publishing our first of several July 4 posts. Though it may not be a company you can rattle off your tongue unless you spend a great deal of your time traveling, you’ve likely stopped at a TravelCenters of America location. Obviously, TravelCenters of America offer gasoline, but they are more of an oasis on the road for travelers. In fact, TravelCenters of America comprises the largest full-service travel center chain in the entire country.
Over the past 30 years, these chains have strived to take care of all highway travelers with excellent service. One group they especially want to take care of on Independence Day is our military. For that reason, any veteran, active duty, or reservist, can enjoy a meal at any participating TravelCenters of America restaurant on Thursday, July 4. The complimentary meal (up to $15 in value) will be offered by Iron Skillet, Country Pride, and other home-style restaurants within TravelCenters of America locations.
All you have to do to claim your FREE meal is provide proof of your service. These can include US Uniform Services ID Card or Retired ID Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, a photograph in uniform, DD214, Citation or Commendation. Within the Indianapolis area, the two TravelCenter locations are at Exit 59 on I-70 (near Mooresville) and at Exit 130 on I-65 (near Zionsville). If you will be traveling for Independence Day, however, check to see if one of the 247 highway locations lies on your path.
