Towards the end of last year, Mike Mullin published a fast-paced young adult book called Ashfall. It tells the story of a boy named Alex who, after being left alone for a weekend, has to find a way to survive when a super-volcano at Yellowstone erupts. If this story about surviving a disaster sounds like it would be up your alley (or if you have read it already), you can go meet the author at one of his appearances at the local branches of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Mike Mullin will be giving short presentations throughout this month. He will be discussing the writing process, and how he has gotten to this point. After his presentations, book sales and autograph sessions will follow. And if you meet Mullin and enjoy his book, keep in mind that he is planning a sequel to Ashfall.
Here is the schedule for the individual branches he is visiting in Indianapolis:
- Warren Branch – 6:00 p.m. on Monday November 26
- Franklin Road Branch – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 28
- Southport Branch – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 4
