While we encourage you to welcome Indiana City Brewing Company, it’s time to say goodbye to a favorite coffee shop in Irvington. The owners at Lazy Daze Coffee House have made the decision to shut down, which leaves its loyal baristas scrambling to find new positions.
So as a parting gift, the shop in back, Khao San Road will donate 20% of its proceeds this Thursday through Saturday to a fund for the employees to split. The money will be used to help them pay bills and get by in the gap. A donation jar will also be available, and there’s a special bash planned for all day Saturday.
To really sweeten the pot, Papa Roux has tossed its hat in the ring, too. Save your receipt, bring it to this eastside restaurant and they’ll redeem it for a complimentary treat to say thanks for your role in supporting the local community.

Just to clarify, my understanding is that Lazy Daze will NOT be open on these days. Rather, the shop at the back of Lazy Daze (Khao San Road) will be contributing 20% of purchases made there to the baristas.

Thank you for the clarification, Tricia.
