Former First Lady Laura Bush will speak at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in Clowes Memorial Hall as part of Butler University’s Celebration of Diversity Distinguished Lecture Series.
The event is FREE, but you do need a ticket, which you need to pick up at the Clowes Hall box office in person. No online ordering with this one. For information on whether they’ve distributed all of their ticket inventory yet, call (317) 940-6570.
I’ve personally had the pleasure to hear Ms. Bush give a presentation, and her demeanor is funny, polite, and candid. Today, as the Chair of the Women’s Initiative at the George W. Bush Institute, Mrs. Bush continues her work on global healthcare innovations, empowering women in emerging democracies, education reform, and supporting the men and women who have served in America’s military.
A word of advice: Large bags (over 12 inches) and backpacks will not be allowed in the auditorium for this event. They will send you back to your car with these items if you show up at the gate carrying them.
