Labor Day Shopping Sales

Enjoy the fruits of your labor this weekend!

Sitting down to write up our list of top free things to do in Indy this weekend post, we found a pattern with the Labor Day shopping specials. While these are obviously going to be important to some of our Cheapsters, they didn’t seem to thematically fit with many of the other items on that list. So, we pulled all the shopping deals out for one post devoted entirely to them:

• Earth Fare – The idea behind Earth Fare’s sale is it all involves grilling. From now through Tuesday, September 2, you can enjoy a host of options on the cheap to throw on the grill. For example, lobster tails are two for $9. Whole beef tenderloins are $9.99 per pound. Grass-fed filets are $10.99 per pound. Of course, you’ll want something to complement your grilled food, so throw in some mini carrots on sale at two bags for $2.97 and seedless grapes priced at $2.47 per pound.
• Pottery Barn – Pottery Barn is holding a big Outdoor Clearance Sale this weekend. You can save an extra 25% off on all clearance items while the sale lasts (which is through Monday).
• Half Price Books – Now through Monday ,September 1, Half Price Books is putting everything on sale. You’ll save big with 20% off storewide.
• Yankee Candle – Now through Monday, September 1, all small jar candles, scent plug bases and refills, fragrance spheres, and concentrated room sprays are on sale for just $5 each. This discounts smells as great as it looks.
• Macy’s – Like on most holidays, Macy’s is offering a sale for the Labor Day weekend. You can take an extra 20% off this weekend, and you’ll enjoy FREE shipping (and FREE returns) if your online purchase is $75 or more.
• Bicycle Garage Indy – Saturday, Sunday, and Monday mark the 18th Annual Labor Day weekend sale at BGi. You’ll enjoy closeout prices on all 2014 and earlier model year bicycles, plus up to 70% off clearance clothing and accessories. If you like to gamble, you’ll enjoy the progressive discounts. As the weekend goes on, the percentages off products grows. Of course, the gamble is that fewer products will be left to choose from at the end of the weekend.
