On June 5 and 12 from 6 pm to 8 pm this summer, the male species is invited to take over the shop. Dave is standing by to teach you how to knit and purl at least well enough to make a scarf. The cost is $10 per session, plus supplies. If you’re curious, guys, this is your golden opportunity.
Both genders are invited to participate in Village Yarn Shop’s beginner classes scheduled throughout the day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the rest of the year—but we’re betting this one will skew female. Each session is $10 plus materials, and is geared to really start at the beginning, as in how to hold the needles. Consult their calendar for one of the myriad times.
If you’re just looking for company of any gender, bring your supplies, a snack to share and jump into a knit along (which is a fashionable term for “pull up a chair and join us”) to make a summer ripples cowl on Tuesday, June 10 from 2 to 8 pm or Saturday, June 14 from 10 to 5 pm; a Pottery Barn inspired holiday stocking on July 8, 2 to 8 pm and/or Saturday, July 12, 10 am to 5 pm; or an easy cowl on Tuesday, August 5, 2 to 8 pm and/or Saturday, August 9, 10 am-5 pm.
