Even as we approach the 12 year anniversary, 9/11 still touches a raw chord with all of us. Most of us can remember where we were on that Tuesday morning in 2011. Life carries on —and we often take our eyes off the big picture to focus on the deals, discounts, and freebies of the day—but September 11 is a day to remember that we aren’t just Hoosiers and Cheapsters. We stand with our brothers and sisters from New York to Los Angeles, from Seattle to Miami, and everyone between. All of us are Americans, and united we stand.
If you don’t own a motorcycle and have no interest in riding with those who do, we leave you simply with a patriotic message and the suggestion to tell your family and friends that you love them this week. If you or someone you know does ride, however, we want to let you know about the Memorial Ride for 9/11 coming up tomorrow. On Wednesday, September 11, you can register starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Harley Davidson of Indy at 4146 E. 96th Street.
The ride is FREE, and begins at 11:00 a.m. The riders expect to reach the 9/11 Memorial around 11:30 a.m. From there, you’re welcome to stay for the ceremony from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. You can also have access to a lunch as long as you make a donation to the 9/11 Project.
