It’s looking like it’s going to be a beautiful day on Saturday, June 7. It’s tough to put too much faith in a weather report that far out, but right now the forecast calls for a sunny day with a high temperature of 83 degrees. Basically, it looks like the perfect day to join Mayor Greg Ballard for the 2014 Mayor’s Bike Ride.
The Mayor’s Bike Ride is a fun opportunity to ride your bike around the city with a big group that happens to include the Indianapolis mayor. Check-in is at 9:00 a.m., with the bike ride beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7 at City Market. While the bike ride begins downtown, it will continue up to the near-northside. In addition to the ride itself, you’ll find plenty of bike safety information, children’s bike helmets, door prizes, and snacks.
Of course, there’s one other reason we’re telling you about the Mayor’s Bike Ride this many days in advance. The first 200 participants to register for the ride will receive FREE t-shirts. The shirts will be on sale at the ride, but we know our Cheapsters prefer freebies. Therefore, you can click here to start your registration for this weekend. After that, keep your fingers crossed that the weather forecast proves true and enjoy your bike ride.
