Before we begin on the details of the upcoming ride for Kolton’s Battle, we’d like to let you know more about the boy himself. Kolton is a three-year-old boy from Whiteland who has unfortunately been diagnosed with aplastic anemia and HLH. He has suffered from multiple infections requiring hospitalization since his diagnosis. He is now preparing for a bone marrow transplant. If you or anyone you know has gone through this kind of struggle, you know that Kolton’s family is in need of a community willing to give back.
That’s where 2nd Amendment MC comes into play. They have heard about Kolton’s Fight, and have organized a motorcycle ride to raise money for this family. To join in the fun and to help, you can register to ride beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10. The kickstands on the motorcycles go up at 11:00 a.m., and the ride will be on. It starts and ends at the American Legion (located at 334 US 31 South in Greenwood), with a turn-around at Oliver Winery just north of Bloomington.
Immediately following the ride, you can enjoy live music, food, activities, and a charity auction until 6:00 p.m. The price to join the ride is $20 for a single rider and $10 more for an extra rider. That price will also buy you a t-shirt. Best of all, you can enjoy the thrill of the road while raising money for Kolton’s Battle. With any luck, the money raised will help him and his family continue to fight all the way to recovery.
