It’s so beautiful so far this week that we understand your desire to head outdoors and soak up the early autumn weather. If you’re looking for suggestions on fun outdoor activities today beyond the standard taking the dog for a walk or sitting outside on the porch, we know of one unique event happening in Hamilton County this evening. This fun event known as Fireside Tales takes place in Simon Moon Park, which is located at 2710 171st Street in Westfield.
Starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, Fireside Tales begins its “Leaf Me Alone” theme.
Don’t worry— it’s not as antisocial as the title might suggest. You’ll hear stories about hibernation (which animals do it and why) and all other things autumn-related. Along the way, you can also invent a leaf creature made out of real leaves and flowers. You can bring your own materials from home or use the ones provided. Either way, Fireside Tales will provide fun for the whole family. Best of all for our Cheapsters, Fireside Tales is FREE to attend.
The park will offer more tales at the end of October (check back with us when it comes closer for full details). But why put off a nice evening outdoors?
