The vast majority of the deals, discounts, and freebies we find are geared toward our Cheapsters. In this particular case, however, the deal is directed specifically at businesses.
From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, the Johnson County Recycling District is holding a business recycling event at Craig Park in Greenwood. The event will include document shredding, as well as CFL or fluorescent bulb electronics collection. The Johnson County Recycling District was created in 1991, and has been working to reduce waste going to landfills by helping citizens dispose of unwanted items in an environmentally-friendly way whenever possible.
Fees will apply for light bulbs and televisions, but all other electronics and shredding are FREE.
This event will benefit the community by further promoting recycling, but there is an additional incentive for your business to participate. Registration is required (call 738-2546 to register), and the first 100 businesses to register will receive a $20 credit toward the already-reduced light bulb disposal costs.
If your business wants to help keep our community clean through recycling and has items to dispose of, register today and come out to Craig Park next week.
