George Washington reportedly once said that, “the willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any way, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by our nation.”
We are not generally comfortable with suggesting that our nation’s first president would endorse many of our posts (though isn’t it a bit amusing to picture Washington waking up in the morning in Mount Vernon and checking his email for new deals posted by Indianapolis On The Cheap?). However, this quote would suggest he would approve of the Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran Job Fair.
This FREE Job Fair is taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds (specifically, the Agriculture Horticulture Building). Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran is the largest employment event in all of Indiana for the military and veteran community. Just last year, more than 500 job seekers interacted with 150+ hiring employers.
If you are a Hoosier veteran, we thank you dearly for your service. Veterans Day is certainly not the only day that we remember the sacrifices you’ve made to help keep our country safe. And if you are a Hoosier veteran interested in this job fair, we encourage you to click here to register online.
You can also check out the Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran Facebook Page for more information.
