It’s a pair made in heaven. Like Sony and Cher, Kobe and Lebron, and Mario and Luigi before them, Jell-O shots and cystic fibrosis are a pair destined to go down in history. Um … well at least in the history books of the Broad Ripple Tavern after Thursday night.
Starting at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, the Broad Ripple Tavern needs your help in selling 500 Jell-O shots. Each shot cost $1, and all the proceeds from the evening will be going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs (also the pancreas, liver, and intestine). It is characterized by scarring and cyst formations that lead to difficulty breathing. Other symptoms include sinus infections, poor growth, and infertility.
Needless to say, it’s worth having a great night out on the town with some friends to raise money for research. In case you needed something to toast while you’re (responsibly) enjoying Jell-O shots, “Here’s to a cure for cystic fibrosis,” sounds pretty cool to us. The Tavern will also be selling $3 Pinnacle drinks and bombs, and you can enjoy live music provided by Kyle McCord and the Modern Gentlemen.
