Those Cheapsters who are subscribers and have been reading our deals for weeks now (thank you so much!) probably recall a post we published some time ago about Indy Reads Books. Headquartered at 911 Massachusetts Avenue in Indianapolis, they are an independent bookstore that exists as a source of revenue for the non-profit organizations called Indy Reads.
Their mission is to improve our adults’ literacy skills, and customers who purchase used books at the store help support these literacy initiatives while saving money on book purchases thanks to greatly discounted prices. Of course, while Hoosiers are never shy about helping support good causes, it can be a pain for some of us to drive Downtown just to buy used books.
Fear not, however, as Indy Reads Books now has an online component. Shop at their locally-based online partner, The Gift of Buying, and a portion of your purchase will still support literacy programs. You will still be helping and still saving money on your purchases, but you can now do all of that without having to leave your home.
