Until the month of May rolls around, many of us around the city sometimes forget about the famous racetrack in Speedway. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is probably our most famous landmark, and yet you may not even be aware that the Indy Dallara Factory nearby offers daily tours showing you how Indycars are built.
Whether you’ve ever been to the Dallara Factory or not, however, you can certainly count on a fun time if you attend the upcoming Cars and Coffee event on Saturday, March 9. The Dallara Factory Cars and Coffee directly benefits the Graham Rahal Foundation. Within that umbrella charity organization, you will be supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Serious Fun. Normally, admission to the Dallara Factory museum area is $10 for adults and a tour is another $5. For this event, the flat $10 will get you inside for both. If you feel compelled to benefit the fundraiser more than that, there will be a donation jar set aside for voluntary giving.
Additionally, you can take part in the iRacing Challenge, a simulator competition. This contest costs $5 for five minutes in the simulator. The fastest time of the day will win a fantastic prize.
