Back in 1999, Indy BackPack Attack began a mission to collect school supplies for students of Indianapolis Public Schools, along with other students here in Central Indiana. School supplies help students go back to school on the right foot, making their education more valuable for them. A good education forms the cornerstone for a student to be successful in life, and helping with Indy BackPack Attack means supporting the future generation in building a brighter tomorrow.
Last year, Indy BackPack Attack was able to assist over 33,600 students when they went back to school. With your help, that number can climb higher this year. Click here to see the full list of items needed (i.e. colored pencils, calculators, black pens, etc.). You can donate money directly online by clicking here, or you can bring items to local businesses that will then deliver the supplies to the Indy BackPack Attack Warehouse.
If you need another incentive beyond helping kids go back to school with new supplies, you can always take your items to donate at the Indianapolis Zoo. If you do, Your Zoo admission is $1 off. The Indy BackPack Attack 2013 drive runs through Friday, July 19, so you still have over a week to donate.
