Christmas Day falls on a Tuesday this year, meaning that Christmas Eve (December 24) falls on a Monday. Many of you will have church services Monday evening, but what are you planning to do with the rest of your day? If you’re looking for a suggestion, we’d like to point out that the Indianapolis Children’s Museum has FREE admission from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. that day.
The Indianapolis Children’s Museum will be closing early on Christmas Eve, but you still have several exhibits and shows available to you if you attend. Here are some of the events on the calendar for that day:
- 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Snowball Fight: This is actually more like a faux-ball fight, as it celebrates the holiday season tradition without the cold and wet clothes.
- 11:00 a.m. Cannon Talk: Only one pirate shipwreck has been found in the Caribbean, and you can take a closer look at a cannon from that ship. You will learn more about the ship’s discovery.
- 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Dragon Investigation: You can explore the connection between dragons and dinosaurs through art.
- 12:15 p.m. World Percussion: Enjoy some hands-on play and experience as you discover Egyptian drumming rhythms.
- 1:00 p.m. Sebou’: You can play a part in an Egyptian Sebou’, which is a celebration that welcomes a new baby to its community.
Christmas is a wonderful time for family togetherness, and we encourage you to have fun with the rest of your family this holiday. If you haven’t visited the Indianapolis Children’s Museum recently, the FREE admission makes for a great addition to your family’s plans.
