A police summons is rarely welcome news, but this is definitely an exception. We hope you have some open time today in your schedule, as you are cordially invited to join in the fun at the IMPD South District Community Day. The good times last from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15 at Garfield Park.
If you’re wondering what one does for fun at a police department community day, you’re probably not alone. In this case, you’ll find a bike give-away, music, games, Indy cars (because it is the month of the Indianapolis 500 after all), and of course plenty of community organizations on hand. Our favorite part, though, is the FREE food. Rather than paying for whatever lunch you had planned today, you can drop by Garfield Park, meet the police officers protecting our streets, and enjoy FREE food and fun.
